COMMUNITY

Lantern Project

Are you a local artist that would like to showcase your crafty skills at our Lumiere Festival? If yes, this is the perfect opportunity for you! For this year’s Lumiere Festival, we want to try something new and launch a Lantern Project. The Lantern Project involves recruiting artists to make lanterns that will be displayed and up for competition the day of the festival. The winner will receive half of the proceeds collected from this competition!

Lantern Workshops

If you’ve ever wondered where our lanterns come from, then the answer is: you! All of our lanterns are the result of the community’s creative side, and you can join in too, be it with a small glass luminary or a large installation. Let your imagination run wild and stun the crowds at this year’s festival!

Workshops open to the public:

If you would like to host a lantern workshop, please contact us at 613-745-0073  or communications@crcrr.org

Community Involvement

There are various ways for your community group to be involved in Lumière. You could set up an information booth with a lighting display or you could adopt one of our lantern sections along the stroll route. We can even show you how to run a lantern workshop!

We are always looking for volunteers ! You can also volunteer on the day of the event for couple of hours, half a day or all day.

If you can think of any way your community organization could be involved with Lumiere please let us know.
